Disable Quotas Completely
If you want to disable quotas entirely (removing the need for grace periods):

Turn Off Quotas on a Filesystem:
quotaoff -a

This disables quotas for all filesystems.

Disable Quotas in /etc/fstab: Edit the /etc/fstab file and remove or comment out usrquota or grpquota options for the relevant filesystem:
nano /etc/fstab
/dev/sda1 / ext4 defaults,usrquota,grpquota 0 0

/dev/sda1 / ext4 defaults 0 0

Remount Filesystem: Remount the filesystem for the changes to take effect:

mount -o remount /
Rebuild Quota DatabaseIf you adjust quotas or grace periods, you may need to rebuild the quota database:
quotacheck -avugm


Verify ChangesTo ensure the changes are effective:
quota -u <username>
repquota -a
